WHAT IS ARCTIC CHALLENGE?

Arctic Challenge is a one-of-a-kind Hackathon focusing on IoT, LoRa, Edge computing, 5G and Information security.
From Tuesday November 22nd after lunch to Thursday at lunchtime November 24th Master students from the Genial programme and the Information security programme at LTU collaborate and experiment on the subjects above.
We also invite other students with corresponding skills, either on site or online.
This is the time to meet other enthusiastic hackers, push your boundaries and realize the projects of your dreams!

The initiative was jointly conceived by Skelleftea Digital Alliance and the projects DIT4BEARs, Wireless Innovation Arena, 5G for healthcare, SSIO, Datacenter Innovation Region-TE, Digital urban development and 5G Edge Innovations for Mining.

Swish is the service that in just over 10 years has gone from an idea to being a significant part of most Swedes’ everyday lives. Hear about the journey, the challenges and the future of the payment market and how the company Getswish is tackling this.
How do you build a service that has over 8 million users and at the same time has been named Sweden’s best brand several years in a row, in competition with big players like IKEA and ICA.

In this lecture, Torbjörn Lundmark, technical director, CTO at Getswish AB, talks about the background and challenges regarding Swish, the Swedes’ mobile payment service. How will mobile payments change and what new demands does the market place on a service like Swish.
