MerIT Award: EBI Systems Lars Ögren received the award for his product Platinum.
Jutyn's reasoning was: ”EBI-Systems AB are pioneers and it’s great to see the bet they paid there, is paying off….” (quote Bill Gates).
Behind the product Platina is an innovative approach to information management. They were also pioneers in investing in .NET as a platform. EBI-Systems has made a bold move that is beginning to yield results. The product and the company have great development potential.”

IT Personality of the Year: Roland Lundqvist, IT Västerbotten.
Roland is the head of IT Västerbotten and has long been a leading figure in the IT sector in Skellefteå and the county.
The jury says: ”Roland has meant a great deal to the IT infrastructure in the municipality and the county. He is the founder of AC-Net and is now working to further develop the IT structure and competence in the county through his daily work at IT Västerbotten.”

Best IT thesis: Markus Nilsson and Johan Hallberg  received the prize for their thesis ”Single-chip computer for Ad-hoc networks with Bluetooth communication”.
Markus and Johan are both studying Computer Engineering at LTU here in Skellefteå and have done their degree projects at Mobile City.
